ABOUT THE EVENT
Hosted by the Federal Government of Nigeria, the conference will examine the key pillars of public service performance, and share insights from public service leaders around the world on how governments can build the capabilities they need.
The sessions have been informed by the following key themes:
- Developing strong leadership with mutual respect and alignment between ministers and senior officials
- Building a highly skilled, inclusive and thriving public sector workforce
- Fostering an agile, digital, and risk-taking culture focused on delivery
- Implementing public service delivery structures that transcend organisational silos
- Building a government trusted by its users and the public
Under each of these headings, the event will convene a series of keynote speeches, panels of international public service experts, and closed door roundtables to share insights.
By providing international insight and best practice, the conference will help the federal civil service of Nigeria make progress in its key priority areas: capability building and talent management, performance management, implementing the IPPIS-HR system, innovation, digitalisation of content services and staff welfare.
